Remembering Michael “Mike” Herndon

Michael (“Mike”) Lawrence Herndon joined the firm of Laura Dale & Associates, P.C. in October of 2012. He was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 2006 and was a graduate of the University of Houston and Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

As a family law attorney, Mike was always a strong advocate for his clients. He worked diligently to achieve their goals and was highly regarded by both his clients and his colleagues who recognized his talents as a family law attorney, both in and out of the court room.

Mike was known for his strong defense of grandparent’s rights under Texas law and his efforts to help grandparents enforce their rights to protect their grandchildren.

Mike learned many of his negotiation skills in his prior careers with British Caledonian Airlines and Continental Airlines where he rose to the ranks of Vice-President, and as President of a large international hotel marketing company.

“Mike always made himself available to other members of the firm to offer advice or to serve as a sounding board for legal strategies. I had the honor and pleasure of trying several cases with Mike. He was a gifted attorney, a wonderful husband to his lovely wife, Debra who is a Senior Associate Attorney with the firm, father, and grandfather. Those of us who knew and worked with Mike will not soon forget his dedication to his clients, his work ethic and his sense of humor,” said Laura Dale
